Cancer Patients will learn to use water & oil based paints on canvas – along with color mixing, color theory and use of light and shadow to create your own original work of art. This workshop will be a guided creative process for making original, three-dimensional soft sculpture figures (spirit dolls) for the purpose of personal self-expression and transformation, to release or contain emotion, for engaging in imaginative play, or to embody a personal insight. The spirit doll is a universally recognized concrete form that can express many things, including creativity, emotion, and ideas that may be elusive, suppressed, or mysterious. Class size is limited to 12 participants, and registration is required.
