Expressive writing has the power to help us transform our physical, mental and spiritual health. Take time for yourself and join us for these monthly creative workshops, and learn ways of using writing as a healing tool. We will be tapping into memory and imagination to create stories from our lives. No writing experience is necessary. Materials will be provided, but bring your favorite personal journal if you like.
In this experiential group meditation, Alexander will create sounds with crystal bowls, Tibetan cowls, Native American flute, tingshas, didgeridoo, sitar, chimes, bells, gong, drums, vocal toning and more. These stirring, releasing and calming sounds will be directed in a variety of ways that stimulate, align and restore equilibrium to the subtle energy centers of the body (known as chakras). It is not necessary to have an understanding of chakras to receive benefit from the sounds. After a brief introductary explanation of sound healing by Alexander, participants will be invited to rest quietly for up to 45-50 minutes during the sound journey session. Please bring a pillow, blanket, eye mask or whatever props you need to make yourself comfortable. Registration is required.
