Hirsch is proud to host the area’s only showing of LUNAFEST for a 10th consecutive year. LUNAFEST is a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for and about women. This season, the program of eight films -– filled with stories of reflection, hope, and humor -– will travel to over 175 cities and screen in front of 25,000 people. For the first time, the event venue will be provided by the Community Theater of Greensboro, offering filmgoers an authentic screening-room experience in the heart of downtown Greensboro’s thriving South End.
Along with our annual Art Lives Here Silent Auction event in the fall, LUNAFEST helps generate the funds necessary to sustain Hirsch’s healing arts programs. Your support of Hirsch events makes what we do possible. If you cannot attend LUNAFEST, we invite you to consider “paying it forward” by donating the cost of a ticket, which will allow an area cancer patient in treatment, survivor or caregiver to attend the LUNAFEST event free of charge.
