ARTISTS Away from HOME – Online with Writer Molly Haile in Southern Pines

Join creative writing instructor Molly Haile during her writing residency in the historic James Boyd House at the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities in Southern Pines, NC, for a look around the house (which is a museum) and a discussion about the writing life, books, and charming Southern Pines. In the 1930’s the Boyd family hosted literary greats F. Scott Fitzgerald, Thomas Wolfe, and Sherwood Anderson at their home. Today the Weymouth Center has kept its connection to literature and the arts with its Writers-in-Residence program and the North Carolina Literary Hall of Fame (housed in James Boyd’s former study) as well as concerts, weddings, and other cultural events. Molly also hopes to take you (virtually) to the iconic Country Bookshop in Southern Pines for a visit and a chat with the booksellers about books we love.
