Join Molly Haile in a lunchtime conversation with Hirsch Instructor Jacqueline Mehring. Jacqueline is an artist and native of Edinburgh, Scotland with a degree in Textiles from the Scottish College of Textiles. She participated in a student-exchange program to North Carolina State University in her junior year. After she graduated from the Scottish College of Textiles, she was invited to study for her master’s in design at NC State, and was offered a teaching assistantship in the College of Textiles. Jacqueline graduated summa cum laude from the Design School and for over a decade she designed woven Jacquard fabric for some of the major textile manufacturers in America with clients from France, UK, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Australia and China. Since then she has nurtured and taught art and creativity in hospices, nursing homes and hospitals. She is one of the artists-in-residence with the Hirsch Wellness Network based in Greensboro, North Carolina. She shows her artwork in America, UK and Finland. Join us for this fascinating conversation with Molly and Jacqui as she shares her inspiration and passion for art. Registration is requested.
