Taiji-Qigong instructor Bill Savage offers a weekly online Chair Qigong class for those unable to stand at all, or for long periods of time. Qigong exercises are done slowly and can be adjusted to the individual’s movement abilities. Each exercise can be done while seated comparably to the standing version. Benefits include improving the function of the respiratory system, digestive system, circulatory system, and nervous system, strengthening the internal organs, elimination of toxins, and clearing the acupuncture meridians.
Have a chair, without arms if possible, or stool that allows you to sit with your feet flat on the floor and your knees as close as possible to 90 degrees.
