Creative Writing: The Wonder and Confusion of Childhood (in person) with Molly Haile

May 9 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

typed text revealed under brown paper: "Everyone has a story."

When you were a little kid, did you believe the seeds you swallowed would grow a watermelon in your belly? Did your parents’ black and white photos make you think they grew up in a colorless world? In this creative writing class, we’ll use Nikki Giovanni and Seamus Heaney’s reflections on childhood, mothers, and fathers as inspiration for our own poetry and/or stories. No writing experience necessary.

Registration is required. Registration closes at noon on the day before class.

You will be emailed a Zoom link on the day before class. If you do not receive a Zoom link by 5pm that day, please email admin@hirschcenter.org
