Sakiori – The Japanese Art of Rag Weaving (online)

January 12, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Let’s get inspired by the Japanese art of rag weaving. “Saki” means to tear or rip and “Ori” means to weave. Sakiori is an example of “mottainai” – waste not want not. Join Jacqui and repurpose your scraps of fabrics to weave a small bag or wall hanging.

REGISTRATION CLOSES ON DECEMBER 29TH AT 5PM FOR ART SUPPLIES TO BE MAILED TO YOUR HOME. (Because we are mailing supplies to all registered students, please be especially mindful when planning ahead for this class. Thank you so much!)

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO RECEIVE ACCESS TO THIS ZOOM CLASS. You will receive an email with the Zoom access link the day before class starts. If you do not get this email or if you have any further questions, please call the Hirsch Office at 336.209.0259.

IF YOU ARE NEW TO ZOOM OR HAVE TECHNOLOGY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL THE HIRSCH OFFICE AT LEAST 1 DAY PRIOR TO THE SESSION.
