Suminagashi and Pastepaper (in person) with Susanne Baker

September 7 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

handmade paper, decorated papers in book form

Learn different forms of paper decoration, including Suminagashi and Pastepaper. Participants will decorate paper with Suminagashi (serendipitous beauty), which is floating ink on water to create one-of-a-kind marbled paper design.

Pastepaper uses a paste-paint mixture layered on paper, and students can then create patterns and swirls, using hands or other tools, similar to finger-painting! You will walk away with a knowledge of multiple techniques and decorated papers that can be used to create numerous crafts and projects.
