Founder's Note
"Art builds a bridge from person to person communicating what is often not found with words."About Hirsch Wellness Network
How It Began
For as long as I can remember, “cancer” has been a word associated with my family. From mother to daughter for four generations, breast cancer and ovarian cancer have left their mark. As a breast cancer survivor, I understand the physical and emotional challenges brought on by this disease and have found valuable support, strength, and compassion from others touched by a cancer diagnosis.
Hirsch Wellness Network was started in my mother’s honor. An artist who shared her talents with many and lost her battle with cancer at age 34, when I was 9 years old. Since 2008, Hirsch Wellness has been dedicated to building a cancer support community that connects cancer patients and survivors, caregivers, family, and friends with creative tools and self-care strategies providing emotional support during treatment into survivorship and beyond. I hope you will join me and become a part of the support network.
