Louisa Dang
Marketing Manager
Originally from Scotland, Louisa is now officially "Southern" after living in NC for more than half her life. She has a background in writing and editing but is now focusing on graphic design and marketing. She has an MFA in creative writing and has worked as a reporter, technical writer, English instructor, proofreader, and marketing writer in the past. She currently lives in Elon with her family, parakeet, and dog, Roxy!

Dalene J-Lowery
Arts & Wellness Program Manager
A native of Cincinnati, OH, Dalene has lived in Greensboro, NC for the last 26 years. Having earned five degrees, she has an array of knowledge and talent which she brings to Hirsch. She has worked as State Auditor in the fields of Information Systems and Accounting for the State of Ohio. But her love comes in teaching. Since her first job as a Montessori Aide, she has taught subjects from reading to track & field. Since moving to NC, Dalene has taught reading, science, math, and social studies for middle school and Library Science for elementary school. Presently, she is a retired media specialist and educator for Guilford County Schools. She loves reading, creating, and traveling and lives in Greensboro with her wonderful husband James
Biography
Clay Thornton
Executive Director
Clay is the Hirsch Wellness Network’s first executive director and began the position July 1, 2023 after serving for 18 months on the Hirsch Wellness Board of Directors. Clay earned a B.F.A. in Communication Arts from ECU and has worked as a creative services director, art director, and marketing director for several educational, nonprofit, and for-profit organizations over his 35-year career. He has worked with a client list that includes Amtrak, Bob Timberlake, Dustin’s GreenHouse, GTCC, J.D. Edwards, NPR, SherrillTree, Southeastern Theatre Conference, UNC, UNCG, UNCSA, and the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. Clay lives in the NC Triad with his wife Amy and enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. His interests include traveling, music, hiking and making photographs.

Kim Yarbray
Healing Arts Program Manager
Kim is our Healing Arts Program Manager and an Artist In Residence (AIR). She has worn many hats through her work over the years. She has been an educator, project manager, and sustainability coordinator at Guilford College, a home organizer working with people through major life transitions, and a facilitator for multiple community organization groups. Kim completed her M.A. in Communication Studies at UNC-G and her B.A. as a double major in History and Environmental Studies at Guilford College.  Kim lives in Greensboro where she has a wonderful community of friends who are more like family. She enjoys basking in the sunshine, the sound of babies laughing, and hearing the real stories people carry inside.
