Zanshi Weaving with Leftovers (in person) with Jacqui Mehring

February 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
brightly colored stripes of yarns woven into a rectangular shape

Be inspired by the Japanese tradition of Zanshi, which consists of weaving with scraps of yarns. Zanshi is the Japanese word for “vestige” or “leftover.” Vestige threats were used to create wonderful one-of-a-kind Zanshi folk textiles.

In this class we will tie together vestige pieces of yarn and threads from Hirsch Wellness to weave a Zanshi design! Feel free to bring in your own leftover yarns from your stash, too! Registration is required.

Registration will close at noon on the day before class. If you have any questions, please contact the Hirsch Office at 336.209.0259 or email admin@hirschcenter.org.
